BookSmart has exciting news! At this year's Northern California Independent Booksellers Association (NCIBA) trade show, we were honored by our peers and awarded the 2009 Debi Echlin Memorial Award for Outstanding Community Bookstore. This award is given annually to a store that has established extraordinary community ties. Receiving this award is a real honor and makes us very proud. Although we think that a bookstore anywhere could be an outstanding community bookstore, we know it is much easier when one is located in an outstanding community like Morgan Hill, and we feel very lucky to be here.
